Die Hunde sind gut gepflegt, hervorragend erzogen und immer für ein Küsschen zu haben. Gunna und Mjölnir, unsere Guides, haben diese Tour zu etwas Besonderem gemacht! Gunnar's Leidenschaft für die Hunde und seine offene, herzliche Art waren mitreißend und deutlich spürbar. Auch die anschließende Tour im Haus zeigt die Hingabe, mit welcher Gunnar sich um die Hunde kümmert und spiegelt seine herzliche Art wieder. Danke, an euch beide! Eine einzigartige Erfahrung, die ich jedem empfehlen würde! P.S: hier gibt es die beste heiße Schokolade Islands - zubereitet von Mjölnir.

Blake Tougas2024-01-04Gunni and his wife were absolutely spectacular and very welcoming. My fiance and I were the only ones there which made it super personal. Gunni and his wife were beyond knowledgeable on huskies and it was nice to hear how they went from owning 1 pup to owning 21 of them! I highly recommend this and even tho I didn't take a sledding tour I know that would be amazing as well! Book this today!

JennKSmith052024-03-31A wonderful excursion for dog lovers! Especially if you are missing your dog(s) while you are on vacation. The owners communicated with our travel agent and us about what the snow conditions would allow for us to do and gave us options based on weather forecast and conditions. Given the way the weather can change quickly there, their excellent communication helped us plan for this activity. From the moment we pulled up, we all were in love with all the dogs and this activity. We honestly could have just had dog snuggle time for hours! That said, we took turns on a private dog sledding run that made core memories for us the parents and our teens. One teen even had a brief turn driving the sled. This area is beautiful and the perspective on the sled was a memorable one. The dogs’ personalities and their obvious love of sledding made us all have permanent smiles. After the sledding we returned for hot chocolate, coffee, dog snuggles and learned about the innovative way dog hair is being reused. I had to buy an ear warmer made from husky hair. A favorite and functional souvenir. We have one dog ( German Shep/lab/husky mix) and one teen is already wondering about making something useful from all his excess hair. We heard about their hikes when snow melts and if we were here in the summer we would absolutely try that.

Unbelievable that this has only 1 review - my wife found Maria and Gunni's experience via 'Visit Akureyri' and it is one of the best experiences of my and our life. If you love animals, I challenge you to think of a better experience than this once you've done it! I don't want to ruin any surprise, just book it and have the time of your life :-D We did the petting but it was anything but. Fully immersive and lots of fun!! Thank you guys!!
Chris V2024-03-25An amazing morning at GoHusky Well this was an amazing morning. We were met at our hotel in Akureyri and driven 15 minutes to site. Great conversation about the town and people. On arrival we were met by a chorus of husky dogs. The noise was deafening. Our host gave us a great insight into how they are cared for and we spent a good amount of time playing with the dogs. We then went on an amazing ride through the woods. The dogs were really excited to be running and were well controlled. On our return, we were allowed into the house to see how they live and talk to the owner for quite some time about life living with 20+ huskies. This is a truly fantastic experience. Don't hesitate to try GoHusky.

Kim2024-02-2821 bundles of furry fun! Met 21 bundles of furry fun and what an experience this was! The dogs are gorgeous and inquisitive and all want to be petted. Gunnar & Maria were so informative about life with their pack and they offer some really fun experiences. The views from their house are absolutely incredible too - I can't recommend this enough.

I have never met a Husky before and I was a bit anxious because of their stereotype however they were all so friendly! Ella has taken a particular liking to Stormur and is already asking when we can next see him! We hope to see you again in the future! And I hope Gunni receives the same hospitality and friendliness when he visits to U.K. in May!

The trip was so welcoming and personal. Gunnar was the perfect host, so informative and made our time there an amazing experience. The guy who collected us from our pick up point was so friendly and even recognised us a couple of days later in the town. Thank you (plus all your 21 huskies) for a memorable day. Paula & Andrew
Elijah J2023-11-20LEGENDARY EXPERIENCE This tour is worth all the hype I can give it. Insanely good guides and owners, could not recommend more. Gunni invited us into his home for coffee after the tour and we ended up chatting for ages about shared love of animals, middle earth, and Norse mythology. The dogs were beautiful and extremely friendly. Would come back to the north of Iceland for this experience alone. Keen to be back for the sledding!
Michael H.2023-10-07Husky Heaven Do not hesitate in booking this, it is a slice of heaven on earth. The pups are wonderful, you will fall in love instantly. The humans in charge are an amazing couple, living their best life in one of the most beautiful spots on the planet. Go, soak in the Husky love, your heart will grow ten sizes, it is pure zen being amongst these gorgeous creatures. One of my favourite days ever, can't wait to see them all again. Utter bliss.
